About usAbout us
When we started in 1998 our initial focus was providing website development services to marine businesses in New Zealand. 14 years later we're still going strong with a raft of experience under our belts.
Based in Auckland, New Zealand we service an international customer base and thrive on engineering solutions to complex online problems both in traditional web media and mobile. We know each web development project brings with it unique requirements and so we're proponents of bespoke custom design rather than the template approach.
Some of our recent projects can be viewed here.
Our approach
In much the same way that a real life architect is commissioned, as information architects we take a brief, listen to your needs and wants, examine the terrain you're working in and accurately gauge the scope of your project.
We then consolidate this thinking into a design blueprint that serves to meet the specific requirements of what needs to be built. By thinking, designing and understanding we'll prevent the software equivalent of having to rip up the driveway to install plumbing only two years after you thought all was finished.
Using a set of plans leads to a clear vision. Next fabrication begins and finally, after testing, your website is deployed and you are handed the keys.
Quality
We build in website quality through careful component selection and attention to detail. We ensure your site is well maintained using agile development methods. Agile means we design and build web applications through a method of breaking software projects down into small finite chunks. Using agile development practices we are able to move projects and project change requests forward quickly through incremental change, gradually enhancing overall functionality whilst maintaining quality and stability.
We use standards
We code using best practice and use development Frameworks such as Fusebox, Coldbox and FW1. New clients often tell us that they've lost touch with their old developer and now have a website that can't be easily maintained. By using a framework we build sites to patterns that are understood by not just us but a community of like minded developers who think the same way. Building to standards also ensures that our websites are as compliant as possible with the plethora of web browsers.
